Sharik is an open-source, cross-platform application designed for file sharing over Wi-Fi or a Mobile Hotspot.
This application facilitates the seamless transfer of various types of data, including photos, apps, files, and text, to any device within the same network. Its functionality is efficient and boasts remarkable speed.
Upon selecting a language and navigating through the introductory steps, users are presented with sharing buttons and a log of previously shared files on the main interface. Supported file types encompass images, documents, installed applications, and plain text. Upon choosing a file for sharing, users are directed to the Sharing screen, displaying connectivity status (Wi-Fi/Mobile Hotspot) and a corresponding URL for access from another device. Inputting this URL into the browser on the recipient device initiates the download process. It's imperative to confirm that both devices are connected to the identical network.
For instances where Sharik is installed on both sending and receiving devices, the "Receive" button located in the app's bottom panel can be utilized. Triggering this option reveals the Receiver screen. Sharik promptly identifies any other devices sharing files within the local network and presents them for selection. Clicking on the intended device triggers the browser interface to commence downloading.
Sharik operates as a free, ad-free solution with its source code available on GitHub for collaborative contributions to its ongoing development. Users are encouraged to support the project by starring the repository on GitHub and potentially assisting with language additions or code improvements.
Built using Flutter and released under the MIT open license, Sharik supports the transfer of photos (jpg, png, gif), various files (zip, rar, 7z, pdf), and text. The interface is accessible in multiple languages, including English, Chinese (Simplified), French, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, German (Deutsch), Indonesian (bahasa Indonesia), Farsi (فارسی), Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Thai, Polish, Malayalam, Ukrainian, and Slovak.
